Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join the free, fun-filled Discovery Saturday at the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center. Bahia Honda State Park Celebrates Earth Day!

18TH ANNUAL EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Description:

Bahia Honda State Park is having its 18th Annual Earth Day Celebration on April 20, 2013 from 9AM – 2PM. There will be live music provided by The Doerfel’s and Bobby D’ and the No Slack Living Room Band. And, Big Pine Boy Scout Troop 573 will be providing a great picnic lunch for the event.

Activities will include: face painting, a puppet show, fish printing and a sand sculpture contest.

There will be environmental exhibits and booths, marine life touch tank and children’s activities. The Florida Keys Astronomy Club will set up telescopes with a special lens for viewing the sun.

Got Your Bags of the Florida Keys will be giving away reusable bags to those who make a pledge to reduce the use of plastic bags. For more information, please call the Bahia Honda Sand and Sea Nature Center at (305) 872-9807.
